What is CATIA and why use it?

CATIA is most popular, innovating and widely used CAD(computer aided design) tool which stands for "Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application". In simple words, it is product design software.

CATIA first version was CATIA V1 which has been released in 1981 by Dassault Systems. The latest verion of CATIA is known as CATIA V6.

CATIA is a form of multi platform software suite which includes three advance tools like - CAD, CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacture).
